OSR and minis

Today is just a short one.

Minis have always been a fun part of Old School Games – great for figuring out an encounter, great for getting to know a character, and sometimes just a fun thing to paint. I remember a dwarf I painted in 1979, he is long lost now, but I remember.

Sometime back, I painted three hobbit bounders. Out there, now, somewhere near TenKeep, they're on patrol, and not sure what’s out there.

Let me know if you have any you'd like to post.

  1. Thanks to Dan R. (and his tool box of paints and minis), I painted my first mini last year. I have such a fondness for it that I keep it on a shelf in my kitchen standing atop a smooth black rock.

    1. JT, thanks for commenting - that yellow was a tricky paint but I like how it came out too.

  3. As much as I love theater of the mind I've never not smiled anytime I've held a mini. Nice work on those and great new blog! I'm also doing osroctober over on the Redcaps podcast.
